Switching to ARC manually not possible, ref#24

Prerequisites

  • HDMI cable is connected between Arcam SA30 and TV;
  • TV and Arcam SA30 are switched off.

Scenario
Perform the following steps:

  1. switch on Arcam SA30, version 1.12 is used
  2. switch on TV (TV starts playing through SA30=ok)
  3. start Arcam Music Life iOS app, version 3.0.0, build 3003 is used
  4. set audio output to Arcam SA30, UPNP renderer
  5. play a music album (music starts playing=ok)
  6. goto screen with volume control, select inputs
  7. start Arcam Control iOS app, version 2.7.0 is used, select inputs
  8. use Arcam remote control and try to switch to ARC input

Actual result
Steps 6 and 7: ARC is not listed as possible input
Step 8: it is not possible to switch to ARC input on the remote control.

Expected result
Steps 6 and 7: ARC is listed as possible input; it is possible to switch to ARC input on Music Life and Control apps
Step 8: it is possible to switch to ARC input on the remote control.

Retested with following versions, result is not passed yet.

  • Music Life app version: 3.0.3, build 3032
  • Arcam Control app version: 2.8.0, build 2802
  • SA30 firmware version v1.25.4, build 623

Steps 6 and 7: ARC is not listed as possible input in both apps
Step 8: it is not possible to switch to ARC input on the SA30 remote control.
The only possibility to switch to ARC is to use the Samsung TV remote, press Tools and set speaker receiver

Has this been resolved yet? I have the same problem with a SA30 I bought in august 2021. I have to pull out the HDMI cable and then put it back for the Arc input to work again.
