Not sure if anyone else is a Roon user and has heard of this issue. I have an SA30 with a Sub setup through a pre amp out and DiRAC set up and working nicely.
As a precursor, I haven’t done the latest firmware update as I was concerned about other potential issues, though I might do it soon, and this started just before the new firmware was released.
Recently I got the occasional listening session with Roon that was very bass heavy, almost like DiRAC had messed up and I would then grab the remote and turn DiRAC off. It’s not just bass that is wrong, the music sounded wrong.
If I turned DiRAC off it was fine for the session and then on the next listening session I would turn DiRAC back on and all was fine again. It got annoying enough that I was using HQPlayer to do most loud my listening on the SA30 feeding into a Pi and then out to my DAC and fed back into my SA30 via the STB RCA inputs.
Even with DiRAC enabled this sounded great so I have used that a lot and then thought why not enable the Roon Bridge service on the raspberry Pi (Ropieee) and try that as well, which I did and was also perfect so far, but like HQPlayer I lose volume control.
Also to add I have had no issues with UPNP from LMS or BubbleUPNP either so it only seems to occur with Roon Ready.
Any thoughts?
Network reset or something else?
