I’ve contacted Arcam support on their inability to shuffle the queue. I noticed this when playing Roon, the shuffled queued would unshuffle itself. I don’t use MusicLife but I discovered this when trying to troubleshoot my Roon problem of not being able to shuffle. I have opened a ticket with Roon to see how to fix this. I am looking forward to replacing my SA30. Sounds great but the software is the worst and Arcam has such a cavalier attitude towards the Arcam SA30 users. I made a big mistake buying this device. Arcam you are fired
Oh well; I’ve never noticed this fault. I bought my SA30’s at prices well-reduced from the original recommended retail because they offered generous high-quality power, Roon, and Dirac all in one box. For me, that trumps not shuffling the play list.
100% agree with you Peter as I don’t use MusicLife after setting it up and being shocked at how bad it was on day 1.
I use Roon for payback at least 95% of the time and I use Dirac for all inputs. Very happy with the SA30 (but it’s not perfect I agree)
@Lastonein I can’t imagine using MusicLife for day to day listening. Chromecast, Tidal Connect or Roon are all much better
Indeed, I think I’d completely forgotten about MusicLife. Don’t think I’ve ever tried it - I’ve been on Roon for years and would not wish to change.
On a different aspect of that post: just looked at the upcoming Sa45 - and it looks rather pretty. I hope the backing of Samsung and Harman means it has a less-rocky software path.
