Hello!
The reason was a broken network card: it was dead. I barely found a service center that would take it for repair…
But there is a new problem
The Arcam amplifier comes with a Dirac calibration microphone which I planned to use to adjust the sound. I took measurements at 13 points, uploaded the file to the amplifier and started it but I noticed distinct clicks and crackling in the sound.
I re-calibrated the microphone by adjusting its angle to the ceiling, took measurements again and uploaded the file… But I still got the same issue.
What could be causing this? Where should I look? What are your ideas?
Without Dirac the sound is clear with no clicks.
I’m not using Dirac, so no experience of this. Suggest you search the forum
But first make sure you are calibrating the mic using the Arcam supplied downloads, they are still available on the SA30 product page
Hello! It’s a useful tip. The calibration files from the website helped. But I don’t like the sound after calibration.
I don’t really understand the manual adjustment charts.
ok, save that file and name it something like Dirac flat. Then put your curser on one of the yellow circles and make a little bass bump. You will need to push up several of the yellow circles between 30 and 60 to 80 hz. Maybe slide the right yellow bar left and limit the correction to 2k, then save and name that some thing like Dirac bass bump. Then do one more then upload them to your Arcam. The flat response is sometimes too dry, but usually works great on classical. I have a bass bump that I use on rock. Your room has a big bass rise from 40 to 80 hz that will mess with the midrange. The rest is beautifully flat. Just put a little of that bass bump back in. There is no right way. Have fun.

Thank you very much! The sound has improved significantly. However, there is still a subjective feeling that something is missing in the sound. I am still trying to understand what it is. It is more of a feeling.
