I agree, but can’t use Musiclife as it only allows me to access a couple of hundred tracks out of my 20,000+
If the price doesn’t put you off (100$ per year, or 700$ for lifetime license) you could try Roon. It’s very good, although don’t know if price is justified.
If your NAS is x86 based Synology or QNAP, there are ready packages with Roon Core (server).
