Sa-30 paired with pa240 and subwoofer

Hi,

I’ve got a sa-30 with Bowers and Wilkins 702s2

I’ve got a sub connected to the pre out which works well however thinking of adding a pa240 and use this as a hi amp. Highs with sa30 and lows with pa240.

How would I connected the subwoofer if the pre out will be used for the pa240?

Has anyone bi amped this setup or best to power all on the pa240. What difference has it made? I’m assuming kore power to these speakers will benifit it.

Also I’ve heard this does not automatically switch on the pa240 as sa30 hasn’t got trigger set up for it. Does this mean I will manually need to switch on and off the pa240? Any issues recognising pairing, I’m happy to do this manually don’t see it a big issue.

Thanks!

You’re going to have to have a subwoofer with speaker level input. Like a. Rel I wouldn’t worry about bi-amping and you’re going to manually have turned on and off the amp if there’s no trigger on the a SA-30. Why do you feel the need for a new amp. The Sa-30 powers your speakers easily. I could understand if your speakers were hard to drive. But adding that amp though it’s a great amp to your B&W speakers you’re not going to hear any difference than what you’re doing. You’re just making your system more complicated.
