# SA30 ARC Invalid/Not Accepted

Hello!

I just purchased an SA30, i am attempting to connect it to my A95K via ARC, using an AQ Cinnamon Cable. I have verified that the TV side of things is working, I am replacing a Marantz Cinema 70 that has never had any issues. When connecting ARC I am getting “Not Valid” error. I have not found anything to indicate why this error is happening. I have also verified that the cable and port are functional on both ends of the connection. Thanks for any assistance in advance!

Similar experience here. My general conclusion is to avoid TV ARC. I bought a 4k HDMI switch that extracts the audio from the selected HDMI source and provides it on an optical output. Works with any amp/receiver.

Have you ensured your TV is set to send only PCM stereo audio out?

Sounds like the same issue.
